Design principles

1.In term of structure, the track should have sufficient strength, stability, durability and certain elasticity, so as to ensure the safety, smoothness and comfort of running on the rail. At the same time, the track structure design should be simple and easy for maintenance based upon meeting the performance requirements.

2.Mature technology, process and advanced technological achievements must be used when designing the railway steel track and concrete sleepers, and also be convenient to be constructed.

3.In order to meet the needs of protecting city environment, appropriate measures to reduce vibration and noise should be adopted in the track structure design, and the vibration and noise pollution caused by the operation can be controlled within the scope permitted by the National Environmental Protection standards.

4.The track structure should have good insulation to reduce stray current.
